Bank hold-up

A hard-luck thief tried to hold up the Bank of America branch on Broadway on July 23, but ran away when the teller refused.

The robber slipped a note to the teller at 2:40 pm at the branch near Marcy Avenue asking for cash. When the bank employee refused to give away any money, the foiled thief fled for

Havemeyer Street.
