Safe and sorry

Three gunmen pushed a man into a Kane Street apartment on July 22 and took a safe containing $40,000.

A 59-year-old man was entering his apartment between Court and Clinton Streets at 6 am when a burly thug clubbed him over the head with a gun. Two more men appeared, and the terrible trio tied up the victim and rifled his belongings.

Eventually, the robbers found the safe, swiping it along with its contents: a Rolex watch and $40,000.
