Lost marbles

A handy burglar used a tractor to steal more than $24,000 worth of granite and marble from a Lombardy Street stone business on Aug. 27.

The manager of Time Marble and Granite, Inc. returned to the business, which is between Vandervoort and Porter avenues, at about 7:40 am and realized that the rock was missing and the tractor had been moved. He caught the perp on camera moving the tractor and loading the expensive granite into a truck, then fleeing. The manager didn’t get a good look at the perp, but said that a let an employee go two months ago on bad terms.
