Three perps tried to rob a man inside his vehicle at Hooper Street on Dec. 6, but punched him in the face when they couldn’t open his lockbox.

The perps approached the man near S. Fourth Street at 12 pm, when one said, “Leave the door, give me the money, where’s the money?”

They tried to open the lockbox, but couldn’t, so they punched the driver instead. Police apprehended two of the perps two hours later but a third got away.
