A late April fundraiser for Republican Rep. Vito Fossella, held at the Manhattan residence of billionaire David Koch and attended by Vice President Dick Cheney, drew a great deal of attention from groups opposed to Fossella’s continued tenure in the House of Representatives.
Several dozen individuals from organizations including Code Pink, the World Can’t Wait, Grannies for Peace, United for Peace and Justice, and Brooklyn for Peace attended a protest rally organized by Truth 13, a group whose entire raison d’etre is to draw attention to Fossella’s voting record, and how it parallels contributions he gets from big business.
