Lilac Co., and ensemble theater company, and Saint John’s Theatre present “Confessions of Zorro and Diamond,” a work-in progress presentation of a new play written and directed by Sean Lewis, at 9 p.m., June 14, 15 & 16 in the basement of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenpoint, 155 Milton Street.
With lighting design by Laura Mroczkowski, scene design by Chris Domenick, and cookies by Forrest Gillespie, the ambitious play features Ximena Garnica, Sean Lewis, John Morena. Come for the cookies.
“The Confessions of Zorro and Diamond” will be the fourth new work created and shown by Lilac Co. at the Milton Street basement since the spring of 2007. Previous work includes Just Another Cowboy Lost in Steinland; Death Series Wun: Sexton Says Sum; and, Bazaar Godard.
“Confessions of Zorro and Diamond” is a site specific exploration of revenge and the crumbling of dreams. It is a dramatization — part farce/part fable — of a fallen and failed quixotic dream…with cookies.
