Staten Island became the latest site to host the Polish American Congress’s 2008 Voter Registration Drive. The PAC’s mobile registration unit visited Holy Rosary and St. Stanislaus Kostka parishes and assisted their members in completing the necessary forms for eligibility to vote in November. Pictured are Zygmunt Bielski (left), scoutmaster of the local Polish Scouting Organization (Harcerze) with Bogdan Bachorowski (seated). “With so many locations still to be covered, we’ll have to keep this voter registration drive going right through the summer,” Rybkiewicz said. Holy Rosary Church is located at 80 Jerome Avenue and St. Stanislaus Kostka Church is located at 109 York Avenue. For more about PAC, based in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn at 177 Kent Avenue, call 718-349-9689 or go to www.polamcon.org.
