Barack Obama’s steady drift into right wing waters may have turned off a lot of former devotees, but the presumptive Democratic nominee still has that super-hot YouTube brunette in his corner.

On August 25, the irrepressible “Obama Girl” aka Amber Lee Ettinger, 26, will celebrate her enduring “crush” on Barack Obama during a special performance at Denver, Colorado’s Mercury Café.

Hawaiian Tropic’s Miss New York City 2003 won’t be alone – she’ll have some hometown help in the person of Rep. Jerrold Nadler staffer Danny Ross.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the 24-year-old Ross, he’s the ace operations coordinator by day and up-and-coming musician by night who’s been impressing music critics over the last year with his engaging brand of rocked-out piano pop.

This isn’t the first time Ross has backed up “Obama Girl.” The two paired in February for the first live performance of “I’ve Got a Crush on Obama” during the Super Tuesday Concert held in February.

“She’s great,” Ross told the Courier this week. “She’s wonderful and very good looking.”

While Ross says he “sincerely doubts” Obama will make an appearance at the Mercury Café show, a portion of the evening’s donations will go to his campaign.

According to Ross, Obama still embodies change for a lot of young people who have grown up under the Bush administration.

“I’m okay with Obama slowly inching toward the center,” Ross said. “People already see the political reality. It’s a big country with 300 million people I think the center moderate wing of the constituency is probably the best course.”

Even though he’s headlining with “Obama Girl,” Ross still isn’t assured of a ticket to the actual convention to see Barack accept the nomination.

“I’ve never met him before, but I’m hoping to go to the Thursday night speech,” Ross said.

The talented young musician thinks he’s got an inside track on who Obama will eventually tap to be his running mate.

“I think it’s going to be [Senator] Joe Biden,” Ross said. “I’m a big Joe Biden supporter. He’s a foreign affairs wiz with 30-plus years in international relations.”

Whoever takes the oath of office in January, Ross will be hard at work finishing up his first full-length record due out February.

The Long Island product says he expects to move to Williamsburg in December.

“I think anyone in the art and music scene knows that Brooklyn is the place to be,” he said. “It feels real the way Manhattan used to.”
