For exercising and embracing the spirit of American’s Favorite Pastime, Assemblyman William Colton presented trophies to members of the Parkville Youth Association during its baseball awards program.
As Mankees team manager Andrew DeMauro looked on, awards of merit went to Samih Bibovic (Sportsmanship Award), Joseph Cirruzzo (Batting Award) and Christopher Monti (Coach’s Award).
The Parkville Athletic Association plays its games on the field at 65th Street between Eighth & Ninth avenues. The use of the ballfield, which benefits hundreds of neighborhood children each year, has been provided to the Parkville Youth Association by National Grid.
