Today’s news:

The one and only Patti Labelle brings down the house

Rocking with a “New attitude”…

Throngs of R&B and soul music lovers flocked to Wingate Park on Rutland Road between Kingston and Brooklyn avenues to greet famed Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter Patti Labelle.

Labelle wowed the standing-room only crowd with three decades of hit songs.

The special concert was sponsored by Borough President Marty Markowitz, who took a moment of stage time to thank the detectives who arrested 36-year-old Cornelius Abson, who was accused of robbing senior citizens throughout the neighborhood.
