Sporting challenges, family frolics and more fanned the flame of friendship as residents gathered for block party festivities in Carroll Gardens.
Third Street, between Hoyt and Smith streets, morphed into a boulevard of fun, brimming with special attractions and amusements for mom, dad and the kids.
While grown-ups caught up on news in the nabe, youngsters rode their bikes and played games on the cordoned-off stretch.
A communal barbecue topped off the street spectacle.
