Members of the 60th Precinct Community Council were all smiles last week when they honored one of their favorite neighborhood businessmen — Dennis Schifter of Aardvark Amusements.
The longtime Gravesend businessman, who has brought smiles to children from across the borough and beyond with his inflatable rides, arcade games and carnival attractions, was named Civilian of the Month during the council’s November meeting.
Council members said that the always community-minded Shifter donated rides to their National Night Out Against Crime this past August.
“If somebody needs help for their event, he’s there to help them,” explained Judd Fischler, president of the 60th Precinct Community Council.
