State Senator Marty Golden, in partnership with the Bay Ridge Parks Task Force, will host three Christmas tree lightings throughout the community in December, in preparation for the upcoming Christmas season, to bring out the holiday spirit and celebrate this magical time of year.
The tree lightings, which will feature caroling, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa Claus, will be held on the following dates, times and locations: December 8, 6:30 p.m., Fort Hamilton Memorial Park, 95th Street and Fourth Avenue; December 9, 6:30 p.m., Lady Moody Square, Van Sicklen and Avenue U; and December 10, 6:30 p.m., McKinley Park, Fort Hamilton and Bay Ridge parkways.
Donations for Golden’s support of the annual Toys for Tots drive will be collected at the tree lighting events. The Toys for Tots Foundation provides United States Marines the opportunity to bring the joy of Christmas to needy children.
