Automotive improved to 5-0 in Brooklyn A West with an 89-44 demolition of Secondary School for Law, Journalism and Research on Monday. Jonathan Delacruz led the Pistons with 16 points and Eli Richardson and Clareld Stabler had 12 apiece.
Coach Will Stasiuk is enjoying the ride. Automotive was expected to return 13 players, but only seven have showed. A few have been injured and others quit. It has made them a small team: Richardson, a 6-foot-5 center, is their tallest player.
“I’m pleasantly surprised with how well we’re playing this year,” Stasiuk said.

Dewitt Clinton 60, Walton 33: Leroy Proudfoot scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds and Donnelle Davis added 10 for Clinton (2-3) in Bronx A West. Walton is 1-5.

Bread & Roses 90, Environmental Studies 83: Davonne Henry scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Antoine Mclaurin added 23 points for Roses (6-0) in Manhattan A Northwest. Environmental dropped to 3-1.
Stuyvesant 84, Seward Park 83: Nolan Becker had 41 points and 23 rebounds and Alan Tse added 16 for Stuyvesant (6-0) in Manhattan A Southwest. Seward Park is 4-2.
Economics & Finance 84, Bayard Rustin 65: Anthony Regalado scored 29 points and Kiaheem Foxworth finished with 22 and 11 rebounds for Economics (1-5) in Manhattan A Southwest. Bayard Rustin is 0-6.
