Barnes & Noble Park Slope invites the public to participate in its exciting calendar of events in May. Here’s what’s on tap this month:

Reading & Signing with Jenny Han, May 9 at 2 p.m. Brooklyn author of the acclaimed young readers novel, “Shug,” will discuss her new book for teens, “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”

Reading group: Teen Ink, May 15 at 5 p.m. For teenagers only! This monthly teen fiction reading group will meet on the third Friday of every month.

Writing Group: Teen Writing Workshop with Author Ned Vizzini, May 29 at 5 p.m. Ned Vizzini facilitates a writing workshop for teens. Participants are eligible to publish their work on the group’s online journal, http:⁄⁄give−us−money.blogspot.com.
