Bringing down the house…
Talented dancers from P.S. 115, the Daniel Mucatel School, 1500 East 92nd Street, performed for members of Canarsie’s Informed Voices Civic Association on Monday.
Those in attendance at the meeting, held in the Holy Family school on Flatlands Avenue near Rockaway Parkway, were delighted as the six children, dressed all in black, morphed into beautiful butterflies as they fluttered colorful streamers hanging from their wrists.
Under the careful attention of director Marjorie Swan, the dancers added extra beauty to beautify songs such as “God’s Gift to the World” “Am I a Child.”
The children also recited the poem “Now I Rise” by Maya Angelou.
