Former World Champion kickboxer and promoter, Brooklyn’s own “beast from the northeast” Louis Neglia, showcased the latest talent to come out of his martial arts academy at the latest installment of Combat at the Capitale, held at the landmark Capitale, 130 Bowery in New York City’s Lower East Side.
Highlights of the event included the landslide victory by Giancarlo Vinciguerra against fellow Brooklynite Eddie Fahey, and Yves Derisier of the Dragon V MA, who knocked Dean Middlebrook out cold before he hit the mat at the :40 second mark of Round 1.
TSMMA trooper Melissa Bopp also had an impressive showing, finishing off Cool Hearts competitor Casey Bohrman with a TKO at the 2:20 mark of Round 2.
Additionally, local NYC Muay Thai fixture James “B52” Smith chalked up another win on his long and impressive resume against Mike “Fighting Irish” Ryan. The bout was called at the :36 second mark of Round 2 via TKO.
