Israeli world boxing champ Yuri Foreman knocked out the holiday blues for local families in need when he made a guest appearance at the Met Council Parking Lot to help give away turkeys for Thanksgiving.
The World Boxing Association Super Welterweight champion dispensed the gobblers and the goodwill to cheers from a large crowd assembled at the lot, 1170 Pennsylvania Avenue.
“I am humbled to give back to the community and share with those that are less fortunate,” said Foreman, while distributing the holiday birds in conjunction with Met Council and the Israeli Consulate.
