Brighten the holidays for a needy child by donating a book or toy to the Park Slope Civic Council’s 15th annual Toys for Tots drive. From Thanksgiving until New Year’s the Civic Council collects new unwrapped gifts for children ages ten and under at several locations in the Slope. All the toys collected are given to local organizations that work with families in need. You can drop your gift off at the following locations: Astoria Federal Savings (both sites), Back to the Land Natural Foods, Citibank, the Community Book Store, Little Things Toy Store, the Old First Reformed Church, Orrichio Anderson Realty, the Church of St. Saviour, St. Augustine Church, New Millennium Real Estate, Scottadito Restaurant, and the Prospect Park YMCA.
Toys will also be collected at the Jingle Bell Jamboree at Old First Church on December 19.
If you are interested in offering your business as a collection center, please contact the Civic Council at mail@parkslopeciviccouncil.
