Police seek ‘bank robber’ who bolted wihtout cash

Brooklyn Daily

Police are looking for a would-be bank robber who tried to hold up a Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge, but ran away before the teller handed over any cash.

Cops say the wannabe bandit passed a note demanding money to a teller at the bank between Bay Ridge Parkway and 76th Street at around noon on Monday. But the employee ignored his silent plea and walked away from her station. That’s when the failed felon ran out of the bank.

The suspect — a surveillance picture of whom was released by police — is described as 35 to 40 years-old, approximately 5-feet-8,and weighing 140 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a white baseball cap, and a two-toned sweater with grey and navy blue sleeve.
