69th Precinct

Armed shoplifter

A 19-year-old man was arrested for stealing food from a Flatlands Avenue restaurant on Sept. 2, and then pulling a gun on an employee.

The victim told police that he was inside the restaurant between E. 84th and E. 85th streets at 9:16 am, when he noticed the suspect grab some chips and soda, and attempt to leave without paying.

“F--- you, I’m going to hit you,” the suspect allegedly snarled when an employee confronted him. To drive the point home, the suspect then drew a firearm and pointed it at the employee before fleeing, cops said.

Cash grab

Police arrested a 25-year-old UPS employee who they say stole money from envelops at the Foster Avenue post office on Aug. 29.

An employee who worked as custodian of records for UPS told police that he reviewed numerous surveillance tapes from the post office between E. 105th and E. 101st streets, which showed the suspect opening sealed packages containing cash, and then resealing them after she snagged the money, police reported.

Taking it hard

A 29-year-old man was arrested for threatening his former employees with a box-cutter after he was fired from his job on Foster Avenue on Aug. 29.

An employee at the business between E. 101st and E. 105th streets told police that she was inside at 1 pm when the suspect barged in wielding a box-cutter.

“Do you really want to do this? Do you really want to fire me?” the suspect allegedly asked while waving the blade.
