These kids are crafty: Eight-year-old Awa Tigave got to working making bracelets after getting her face painted as a butterfly.

Parents and tots from PS 115 brought in the fall with bouncy houses, face painting, and a smorgasbord of cotton candy during its first seasonal festival, held on Saturday.

The festival was patronized by more than 1,230 kids ages 4 to 10 and their parents, who knew from experience that PS 115 can put on a great party — in addition to imparting knowledge.

“We had a really nice turnout,” said the Canarsie school’s parent coordinator Jayne Sclavos, who helped organize the event. “We did a spring carnival last year, which had a huge turnout, and that’s what made us do it again.”

Now the school, on E. 92nd Street between Avenues L and M, is looking to make both festivals annual affairs, since the kids have so much fun and the parents get to spend some quality time catching up with the tutors.

“The festivals bring the community together, the home and the school, and it’s just a really nice day for parents to come out with their kids and mingle with the teachers,” said Sclavos.

But Sclavos and the teachers weren’t the only ones responsible for the entertainment; pint-sized dancers, singers, musicians, and thespians performed before the revelers to great applause.

“The kids did a really great job,” said a proud Sclavos. “Everyone was really impressed.”
