Cops: Woman shatters window with brick, steals laptop

A 25-year-old woman used a brick to shatter a Ryder Street apartment window and steal a laptop on April 4, police said.

A witness told police the woman flung the cinder into the window of the apartment between Avenues U and V at 7:30 pm and ran from the scene. Police say the woman later confessed to the crime.

Shirt happens

A 50-year-old man was cuffed for shoplifting shirts from a department store on Avenue U on April 7, police claimed.

The man left the store near 55th street at 4:30 pm with the unpaid for merchandise, police reported.

Chop chop

A 22-year-old man was arrested for punching a woman in the face and brandishing a butcher’s knife at her on E. 57th Street on April 2, police said.

“Come outside, come outside, see what I’m gonna do,” he allegedly told the victim at 10:20 am, near the intersection of Farragut Road.
