A trio of thieves on bikes threatened a woman and stole her phone on Humboldt Street on June 1.
The 39-year-old victim told police she was walking near Jackson Avenue at 10:55 pm when the three guys on bikes surrounded her. One of the thieves grabbed her phone.
The victim hit him with her purse, but they all rode away, fleeing eastbound on Jackson Avenue on their bikes. The victim told police she believes that the robbers were between 15 and 20 years old.
A feisty robber put a victim in a chokehold and then stole his phone on McGuinness Boulevard on June 4.
The 12-year-old victim told police that he was between Calyer Street and Meserole Avenue on his way to his grandmother’s house at 3:30 pm on June 4 when a guy grabbed him by his neck from behind.
“Give me what is in your pocket,” the robber said.
The victim handed over his phone, and then the robber followed him for a couple of blocks before running off.
A burglar broke into a woman’s N. 11th Street apartment on June 2 and stole her kitchenware.
The 29-year-old victim told police that she saw the man enter her abode between Bedford and Driggs avenue at 4:30 pm. He came in through the front door and grabbed her silverware, pitcher, filter and a spout.
Someone broke into a guy’s unlocked food delivery truck parked on McGuinness Boulevard on June 4 — and stole $3,500 in cash and personal items.
The victim told police that he parked the truck between Greenpoint Avenue and Calyer Street at 3:30 pm. When he returned at 4:15 pm, he found all of the items in the center console gone, including $3,500 cash, his credit cards, money belt, and personal papers.
The truck was not damaged.
A bandit on a bicycle snatched a cellphone right out of a woman’s hand on Woodpoint Road on June 6.
The victim told police that she was standing at the corner of Skillman Avenue at 10:10 pm when a robber rode up to her, grabbed the phone out of her hand, and continued riding eastbound on Skillman Avenue.
