Bank foible

A lone would-be thief failed at holding up the Polish Slavic Credit Union on McGuinness Boulevard on April 29.

A clerk told police that the no-brain thug entered the bank, which is near Norman Avenue, at about 1:20 pm, holding a note that said, “Give me $7,000. Now.” The clerk hesitated when she saw that no weapons were involved, and the thug fled in a hurry without his payday.
