Park pains

A man attacked cops when they tried to make him leave Prospect Park Parade Grounds after dusk on May 30.

Cops said they found 36-year-old Omar Peck sitting on a bench in a playground area near the Parade Grounds at 1 am. The playground had clearly posted signs saying it was closed at dusk.

Officers asked Peck for his ID, but he gave them a fake Pennsylvania driver’s license, prosecutors were told.

When they tried to take him out of the park, he jumped off the bench, charged one of the officers, knocking the cop against a fence. He then punched the cop, leaving him with a small injury.

Cops wrangled Peck in after a brief struggle, charging him with assault in the second degree, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a forged instrument.
