Fashion crime

A not-so-cunning thief was arrested for pinching clothes from the Fashion Plaza shop on Manhattan Avenue, then for allegedly attacking the clerk who confronted her on June 5.

The clerk told police that she saw the woman stuffing several items in her bag at the shop, which is between Norman and Nassau avenues, at about 5 pm. The shoplifter apparently went berserk when she got caught, and pushed the clerk to the ground before fleeing. Cops found her and the new digs down the street.

Where: 658 Manhattan Ave.
