Trouble on the train

A brutal brigand socked a woman in the head before snatching her purse as she walked into the Clinton-Washington subway stop on Jan. 22.

The victim told cops that her assailant sneaked up from behind at around 3 pm near the station, which is on Lafayette Avenue, placing his hand over her mouth, and whispering in her ear, “Shut up!”

He then punched her and flung her to the ground before swiping her bag, which contained an iPod.
