Shot in the leg

A summertime stoop gathering ended in bloodshed on July 14 after one of the attendees was shot in the leg.

The victim and his friends were hanging out on a stoop outside a Paerdegat 11th Street address near East 80th Street when they heard shots across the street.

The group thought nothing of it until one of them felt a sharp pain in his leg. He looked down and found that he had been shot.

Police said that the victim was treated and released after being brought to Brookdale Hospital.

Witnesses saw one man running down the street, but didn’t get a good description.

Sources said they have little to go on in this case.

Anyone with information regarding this shooting is urged to come forward.

Calls can be made to the NYPD CrimeStoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
