Lotto ticket

A sneaky crook tricked his victim into withdrawing $22,000 from his ATM on Aug. 4 to pay for a fake lottery ticket.

The crook lured his victim, a 72-year-old man, into a bank at 3:30 pm, claiming that he had a wining lotto ticket for $500,000, but could not cash it because he was a U.S. citizen.

The perp and his friend drove the victim to three different banks where he withdrew the money from his savings account. All told, he took out $22,000, which they handed over to the thief in exchange for the worthless ticket.
