Ersatz officer

Some creep posing as a cop picked up a man on Vanderbilt Avenue on Aug. 26, drove him to Cumberland Street in his fake cruiser, then robbed him.

The victim told the 88th Precinct that he was between Park and Myrtle avenues at 5 pm when a man flashed a badge and handgun, then told the victim to get into his car.

The impersonating officer then drove the victim to a parking lot near Fulton Avenue, told him to get out of the car, and took his wallet and cash. The imposter cop said a “paddy wagon,” which is a horrible ethnic slur, was on its way, then he left in his car.

Where: 93 Vanderbilt Ave.
