No touching

A real charmer talked his way through a daring gem robbery at a Manhattan Avenue jewelry store on July 26, spiriting away with the goods without ever firing a shot.

The perp was all smiles at around 2:30 pm, when cameras caught him walking into the store between Meserole and Norman avenues. The smooth criminal chatted up the clerk at the counter for several minutes, inquiring about various merchandise before asking to see a few baubles behind the counter.

Then he made his move.

With the jewels in his possession, he sprinted out the front door and down the street, though not fast enough to evade the watchful eye of the store’s surveillance, which captured the entire incident.
