Driven crazy

A thief swiped a Mazda off S. Ninth Street overnight on Jan. 3 — and the driver has himself to blame (partly, that is).

The forgetful car owner told cops that he left the keys in his black sedan when he parked it on the block between Driggs Avenue and Roebling Street that night, but when he returned to it the next morning, it was gone.

But after a cursory search, the owner found the car — now locked — on S. 10th Street, and called cops and a tow truck to help him recover the vehicle.

Before the help arrived, though, the alleged carjacker exited an apartment, confronted the driver, and made off with the car — for a second time, that is.
