Stabbed on Cropsey

A 42-year-old had a knife raked across his face March 24 during a bloody brawl with a stranger on Cropsey Avenue.

The victim told police that he was nearing Bay 20th Street at 6 pm when he got into an argument with suspect Timothy Egan.

During an exchange of heated words, Egan, 29, lashed out with the knife, catching the victim’s cheek. Egan also allegedly stabbed the victim in the arm, back and head, leaving him with puncture wounds and deep cuts that doctors needed to staple closed.

The victim was treated at a local hospital. Investigators from the 62nd Precinct caught up with Eagan a few days later, charging him with assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
