A 23-year-old woman was pistol-whipped during a frenzied attempted robbery March 30, but still refused to hand over her belongings to the gun-wielding mugger, police said.

Cops were told that the victim was on Quentin Road approaching Ocean Avenue at 6:49 p.m. when the suspect attacked, demanding her bag.

The man struck the woman repeatedly, but fled empty-handed, said police, who were still trying to track the thug down as this paper went to press.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the 61st Precinct at (718) 627-6611. All calls will be kept confidential.
