Drive-thru devil

It must have been all the ketchup.

A sticky-fingered 35-year-old was arrested on April 26 after he was caught allegedly swiping a woman’s purse while she sat in a McDonald’s drive-thru.

The woman said she was sitting inside her 2001 BMW waiting for her order at the Utica Avenue eatery between avenues H and I at 3:45 am when Marc St. Jean allegedly walked up to the car and reached in through the passenger side window.

He grabbed hold of the woman’s purse, but the motorist’s trigger finger was quicker — she hit the button to raise the windows, causing St. Jean to drop the purse, as well as the credit cards, cell phone and $110 inside.

St. Jean ran off, but police arrested him after a short search of the area, charging him with attempted grand larceny, attempted petit larceny and attempted criminal possession of stolen property.
