Bloody Flatlands scrape

A 42-year-old man was arrested on April 24 after he attacked a family member, leaving the other man with a bloody gash that needed 10 staples to close.

The victim told police that he was arguing with his relative inside a home they shared on East 40th Street between avenues I and J when the family member struck him in the head with a wooden object.

The raging relative was taken into custody a short time later, charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.

His name had not been released as this paper went to press.
