Bad aim

A 22-year-old man found himself in custody on attempted assault charges on April 21 after he allegedly took a swipe at another male, but missed.

Cops from the 61st Precinct said that the victim and suspect David Nieves were arguing at the corner of Avenue U and Coney Island Avenue just before 4 am when he allegedly attacked the man with a knife.

Nieves missed. Responding officers didn’t, arresting him for assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Drug charges against Nieves were pending after cops found two bags containing a “white powdery substance” in his possession, they alleged.
