Shot in the foot

Cops are looking for the gunman who opened fire on a 16-year-old April 16, striking him in the foot.

The teen told police that he was on Glenwood Road nearing East 103rd Street at 11:30 pm when he heard several shots being fired.

He claimed that he felt a sharp pain as he ran for cover in a nearby store. It didn’t take him long to realize that he had been hit.

He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after treatment, police said.

This was the second shooting to take place in Canarsie in the last two weeks.

On April 9, two teens were arrested as they worked together to shoot a third teen on East 82nd Street between Glenwood Road and Flatlands Avenue, blasting open the victim’s right thigh.

Four shootings have occurred in Canarsie since the beginning of the year, officials said.

Anyone with information regarding the most recent shooting is urged to call the 69th Precinct detective squad at (718) 257-6315. All calls will be kept confidential.
