Applewood

Owners David and Laura Shea have created a comfortable, country-style ambiance at Applewood. David, named one of “Ten Cooks with Heat” in Forbes Magazine in 2002, offers a wide selection of organic meat and wild fish dishes, such as the grilled and braised new hampshire pork, or the sauteed atlantic bluefish. Locally sourced appetizers range from vermont rabbit leg confit to rhode island scallops with a citrus salad. Desserts include grilled cinnamon cake with candied apricots and a flourless chocolate cake with sugared oranges and sweet cream rum. Applewood also has a long list of dinner and dessert wines. Brunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday, 5-11 pm. Closed Mondays.
