Marco Polo Ristorante

One of Brooklyn’s most elegant dining rooms, Marco Polo has won numerous food and wine awards since opening in 1983. The restaurant has an Italian menu that includes an array of hot and cold appetizers, soups, salads, homemade pasta, fish, chicken, veal, steaks and chops. It is best known for its tableside preparation of duck, whole fish, a rack of lamb or the “fettuccine al vino rosso,” red wine fettuccine tossed in a Parmesan cheese wheel. For dessert, the strawberry flambe, made with fresh berries, champagne and sugar, is heated and then rolled into a crepe and topped with ice cream. They have a bar menu that includes raw oysters and clams and shrimp cocktail ($1 apiece), hot and cold appetizers ($6) such as mozzarella carrozza, baked clams, stuffed mushrooms with eggplant, mozzarella Caprese, octopus Carpaccio and salmon over spring salad. There are also small pastas ($6).
