Red Rose

This Italian restaurant laid the foundation for the Smith Street renaissance more than 25 years ago. Red Rose has an expanding wine list with wines from around the world, white linen-draped tables, and red and white brick walls. Operated by the Romano family for two generations, Red Rose offers a classic Southern Italian menu featuring seafood, poultry and pastas as well as many daily specials. Try the fettuccine served with cognac sauce and jumbo shrimp. Red Rose’s two decades of success can be summed up simply: the formula is fresh food and good service. Open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner. Closed Mondays.
