Belleville is a small restaurant with a big mission to become a neighborhood bistro. The French menu begins with several starters, including a venerable onion soup, moules marineres, and classic snails. For entrees, there are classics such as coq au vin, braised short ribs, coquille St. Jacques and steak frites. And don’t miss the five-course tasting menu for $30. The restaurant is open weekdays from 5 to 11 pm, and weekends from 10:30 am-11 pm.

Belleville has opened a lounge next door, in which they screen movies on Mondays, host open mic nights on Wednesdays, and showcase spoken word performances on Thursdays. The lounge serves classic Parisian food in appetizer form, including a tasting of four fromages, and duck confit rillettes. Their extensive dessert menu features creme brulee, lemon custard, and tempura coated apples. The lounge is open on Wednesday through Saturday, from 7 pm to midnight.
