Owner Ken Li (Park Slope’s Yamato and Cobble Hill’s Osaka) has a hit with this restaurant that blends French and Chinese cuisines. Open since 2004, Chance has a sleek contemporary exterior that gives way to a polished, playful interior with red lanterns and a bubble wall. Chef Kfir Ben-Ari revamped the menu, blending the two cuisines subtly, according to GO Brooklyn critic Tina Barry. Among her recommendations are the “Miss Piggy” entree, a pork shank surrounded by wild mushrooms scented with garlic; the seared foie gras appetizer; and the ocean box of plump dumplings filled with sweet shrimp, lobster meat and sea bass. Don’t forget dessert — housemade ice creams and sorbets. Brunch, offering dim sum and green tea pancakes, is served from noon to 4 pm on weekends. Open for lunch, from noon to 4 pm, on weekdays and everyday for dinner.
