Nearly 300 people participated in “It’s My Park Day!” at Prospect Park, a half-day of park-wide volunteer projects to care for Brooklyn’s great landmark park.
Some of the accomplishments of the volunteer teams — including families, friends, and local organizations — who came to help included cleaning paths, painting fences and benches, weeding/removing invasive plants, and clearing the park, as well as the lake, of litter.
Upcoming volunteer information sessions are June 11 at 4 p.m. and June 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Sessions are held at the historic Litchfield Villa, 95 Prospect Park West. For more, call 718-965-8960 or go to www.prospe
