It was sweet music to their ears.
The talented students at P.S./I.S. 180, located at 5601 16th Avenue, displayed their musical skills when District 20’s Community Education Council (CEC) held its general meeting at the school.
Before business began, several students in the school’s band performed perfect renditions of the national anthem and “America the Beautiful.”
Then it was the chorus’ turn to show off their vocal harmonies while performing a lovely tune called “Why We Sing.”
Principal Gary Williams was proud to see his students perform and told CEC members that the youngsters are dedicated to their musical pursuits.
“These students come to school every morning at 8 o’clock on their own will. They work very hard,” he said.
