Going down to Davey Jones’ locker...

The waters off the 58th Street pier were abuzz with activity Sunday as rescuers helped a boater in distress.

Officials said that the operator of a cigarette boat had radioed that his vessel was taking on water,

Within moments, several other vessels, including an NYPD Harbor Unit boat, were on the scene to pull a handful of people off the sinking ship.

At the time, all that could be seen of the boat was the stern, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
