A 23-year-old man was killed on April 15 as he rode a bike past the corner of E. 53rd Street and Linden Boulevard.
Cops from the 67th Precinct were called to the corner at 10:45 pm, and found victim James Pierre sprawled out on the ground suffering from a massive head wound.
Paramedics removed Pierre to Kings County Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Witnesses told police that Pierre was pedaling down Linden Boulevard when he was struck by a 2002 Isuzu traveling northbound on E. 53rd Street.
No charges were filed against the 52-year-old operator of the Isuzu.
A school custodian was arrested on April 11 after he was accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl attending the Public School of Marketing and Legal Studies on Winthrop Street.
Investigators said that the 32-year-old janitor had sex with the girl repeatedly inside the basement of the school, which is near E. 52nd Street. It was unclear if the intercourse was consensual, but New York law prohibits anyone having sex with anyone under 17.
The custodian was charged with statutory rape and sexual abuse.
Slashed on Flatbush
A dollar van driver attacked a 26-year-old man on Flatbush Avenue on April 15, leaving his victim with deep gashes to his earlobe and cheek.
The victim was sitting in a parking lot near Avenue I at 3 pm when the fiend attacked, slashing at him with an unknown object. The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital as the thug sped off in his vans, witnesses told police.
A thief broke into an E. 49th Street home on April 14, taking $400 and some credit cards.
The goon forced open a side window and crept into the home, which is near Avenue I, sometime after 6 am.
Gunning for cash
A thug pulled a gun on a 21-year-old on Farragut Road on April 13, taking the man’s cash, cellphone and clothes.
The victim was walking by E. 56th Street at 11 pm when the suspect flashed his weapon — pointing it at the man’s face.
Four on one
A well-armed criminal quartet pulled a gun on a 27-year-old on E. 53rd Street on April 5, taking $65 and a cellphone.
The victim was nearing Avenue I at 12:15 am when the thieves surrounded him, flashed a gun, and ordered him to empty his pockets.
Bullets and showers
A 14-year-old girl and two adults were wounded on April 3 following a shooting on E. 48th Street.
Police said that a baby shower was just wrapping up at 9:30 pm when the gunman approached the two men and the young women near Church Avenue, demanding their property.
The gunman opened fire seconds later, wounding all three victims.
