Shake and steal

A 26-year-old man was arrested for harassing and robbing a woman on E. 53rd Street on Nov. 24, taking her cellphone.

The victim told police that she was between Glenwood Road and Avenue H at 12:35 am when the suspect grabbed onto her arm and began pulling her this way and that.

The victim attempted to call 911, but was thwarted when the suspect grabbed her phone and made a run for it.

Bad roommate

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for swiping $2,000 from a woman’s E. 63rd Street home sometime between Nov. 19 and Nov. 20.

The victim told police that she’d left $2,000 on a shelf on the second floor of her home between National and 56th drives at 11 pm, and that the suspect was the only person who had access to the victim’s cash.

The suspect admitted to the theft during a police interrogation, cops said.
