Cops release video of gunpoint robbery in East Flatbush

Police are looking for two men they say were caught on video robbing a senior citizen at gunpoint in East Flatbush on Aug. 2.

Authorities released a video of one of the suspects flashing a firearm at a 61-year-old man on East 53rd Street and Church Avenue, while the other suspect struggled with the senior and stole his jewelry. The men took the victim’s gold necklace, watch, and two rings. The suspects then fled on foot.

Cops say one of the suspects is between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9 with a slender build and was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans, and carrying a firearm. They say the other suspect was between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8 and approximately 155 to 165 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
